Louise was the daughter of Dr. John Peter Schermerhorn and Louise (née Williamson) Schermerhorn. Together, they were the parents of: [ 3 ] Elizabeth Constance Schermerhorn (1886–1981), who married J. Harper Skillin, a son of Edward and Dallas Hewlett Skillin, [ 10 ] in 1933.
