Farzar takes place on the planet Farzar, where the son of the villainous czar Renzo, Prince Fichael, has been placed in charge of the S.H.A.T. Squad. Parasyte (Japanese: 寄生獣, Hepburn: Kiseijū, lit. ' Parasitic Beasts ' ) is a Japanese science fiction horror manga series written and illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki . It was published in Kodansha 's Morning Open Zōkan (1989) and Monthly Afternoon (1989 to 1994).
In 1993, Iwaaki received the Kodansha Manga Award for Parasyte. [2] In 2010, Historie took the grand prize in the manga division of the Japan Media Arts Festival. [3] Historie also earned him the 2012 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Grand Prize. [4] Iwaaki won the 2020 Saito Takao Award for his work on Reiri. [5]
