The Green Line is a rapid transit line in Chicago, Illinois, operated by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) as part of the Chicago "L" system. It is the only completely elevated route in the "L" system. All other routes may have various combinations of elevated, subway, street level (at grade), or freeway median sections. [1]
In 2013, the CTA proposed a bus rapid transit line along Ashland Avenue from 95th Street to Irving Park Road. However, opposition led to the proposal being stalled. [9] [10] In 2015, the X9 express bus route along Ashland Avenue was restored after the said route was discontinued five years prior in 2010.
Garfield is an "L" station on the CTA's Green Line.It is situated at 320 E. Garfield Boulevard in the Washington Park neighborhood. It opened on October 12, 1892.
