The 1972 Heidelberg Student Princes football team was an American football team that represented Heidelberg College as a member of the Red Division of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) during the 1972 NCAA College Division football season.
In their third year under head coach Paul Hoernemann, the Student Princes compiled a 9–0 record, won the OAC championship, shut out five of nine opponents, and outscored all opponents by a total of 299 to 26. [1] [2] The 1948 season was the second perfect season in Heidelberg football history.

In their 14th and final season under head coach Ted Turney , the Student Princes compiled a 1–4–1 record (1–4–1 against OAC opponents), finished in tenth place in the OAC, and were outscored by a total of 153 to 82.
