Ulick Peter Burke (born 16 August 1937) is a British polymath, historian and professor. [1] He was born to a Roman Catholic father and Jewish mother (who later converted to Roman Catholicism). He was educated by the Jesuits and at St John's College , Oxford and was a doctoral candidate at St Antony's College, Oxford .
