The Nation (La Nation in French) is a municipality in Eastern Ontario, located within Canada's National Capital Region, in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. Formed in 1998, the municipality consists of the former townships of Caledonia, Cambridge and South Plantagenet, as well as the Village of St. Isidore.

The Caledonia Springs Hotel was closed by the CPR in 1915. The last hotel in the town, the Adanac Inn, closed in 1947 and the railway tracks and station, constructed in 1896, closed and were removed by 1986. Nothing is left now but a bike trail, known as the Prescott and Russell Recreational Trail, which follows the old railway right of way.
Caledon is the northernmost of three municipalities of Peel Region. The town is northwest of Brampton. According to Statistics Canada the land area is 688 km 2 (266 sq mi) [2] and, according to the city the area is 696.04 km 2 (268.74 sq mi), [3] which makes Caledon the largest municipality by area in the Greater Toronto Area.
