Monkey Bar Games was an American division of the defunct video game developer Vicious Cycle Software, based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Monkey Bar's mission was the creation of family entertainment products on all handheld and console video game platforms and the PC.
In 2005, Vicious Cycle announced the opening of their Monkey Bar Games division. Monkey Bar Games was focused on providing mass-market games to gamers of all ages. Monkey Bar Games released video games incorporating licensed characters from Ben 10, Dora the Explorer, and Curious George.
The game remained open for a month after the announcement, finally closing on the set date, September 26, 2014. After the game's closure, Monkey Quest's website was updated with a new FAQ to help with billing support and inform users about the game's closure. Monkey Quest's site, monkeyquest.com, now redirects to Nickelodeon's Facebook page.
