Suddenly Susan is an American television sitcom that aired on NBC from September 19, 1996, to December 26, 2000. The series was created by Clyde Phillips and starred Brooke Shields in her first regular series.
The episode ends when the police call Jack while he, Susan, and the other characters are gathered in a prayer circle for Todd's well-being. The details of Todd's death are left ambiguous. "Suddenly" is a duet performed by Olivia Newton-John and Cliff Richard from the soundtrack Xanadu, and is the love theme from the 1980 film of the same name. It was written and produced by John Farrar. "Suddenly" reached number 15 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1980 and number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in January 1981. [3]
In early 2019, Vanessa Kirby and Jake Gyllenhaal were cast as the leads of the project, which was to be Bidegain's English language debut. However, due to friction between the Bidegain (the director) and Gyllenhaal, the film was scrapped and retooled as a French production. [1] [2] [3]
