Browns Lake is in the eastern part of the CDP. According to the United States Census Bureau , the Funny River CDP has a total area of 29.0 square miles (75.0 km 2 ), of which 26.7 square miles (69.2 km 2 ) are land and 2.2 square miles (5.8 km 2 ), or 7.70%, are water.
