The hotel reopened in January 1981 [7] as the Hyatt Regency Fort Worth. The hotel was renamed the Radisson Fort Worth in 1995. Under Radisson, the lights on the upper floors were turned off. From 2005 to 2006, the hotel's interiors were renovated, and it was renamed the Hilton Fort Worth on April 1, 2006. [8] The 1970 annex tower was not renovated.
In 1940, the mansion was acquired by the Girls Service League of Fort Worth. [2] The house was then empty from 1968 to 1975. [ 2 ] A year later, in 1976, a preservation non-profit organization called Save-the-Scott purchased the house and restored it.
A native of Athens in east Texas, Richardson attended Baylor University and Simmons College from 1910 to 1912.
