I used a JP Enterprises silent buffer setup for one I built. Paired it with a JP Enterprises LMOS bolt carrier and an adjustable gas block from SLR rifle works. The recoil profile is barely more than a .223. Locks the bolt carrier to the rear with ease and plenty of adjustment on each side of the gas block’s adjustment.

Great combination. Comfortable, quiet and solid. I did remove the buffer retainer and spring in my 6.5 Creedmoor and Grendel as it's not really needed with the SCS. Works like a charm. I used the heavier spring with the Creedmoor, but switched back to the standard. I'll try tungsten weights one at a time next to tune the 6.5 Creedmoor a little ...

Ask a similar question awhile back but don’t think I was specific enough. I’m looking for a lightweight 6.5 creedmoor hunting rifle. The more accurate the better as I’ll shoot paper as well. Not looking for a barrel / stock swap configuration. Just one gun.

  7. 6.5 Creedmoor as a battle rifle cartridge... - AR15.COM

    www.ar15.com/forums/AR-15/6-5-Creedmoor-as-a-battle-rifle-cartridge-/121-753353

I think 6.5CM makes a great battle rifle cartridge. FN and the Brits messed with .280 in the 1950s as battle rifles got going as a real thing. The US Ordnance Board put a stop to all that by basically forcing NATO adoption of 7.62x51. I built a 16" 6.5CM rifle with a lightweight Faxon barrel as a battle rifle, basically, and it's great.

Depending how you mounted the rifle, the block would make contact with the rail while firing, so it totally screwed me over during load development. I'd fire one 5-10 shot group with absolutely amazing accuracy .4-.5", then the very next 5-10 shot group of the exact same load, it'd shoot 1"+.

I’m thinking about picking up a bergara hmr wilderness in 6.5 creedmoor. I’m trying to look up load data, and most of the data I have at home is with large rifle primers. I know that there’s lapua small rifle primer brass.

  10. Real world results 6.5 Creedmoor barrel life - AR15.COM

    www.ar15.com/forums/Precision-Rifles/Real-world-results-6-5-Creedmoor-barrel...

I have read that the 6.5 Creedmoor will burn out its barrel / throat between 2000-3000 rounds and lose accuracy. I am not a long range competitor nor do I care if the groups go from .5MOA to 1MOA. I want to consistently hit 18X30 inch steel plates from 500 to 1000 yards.

  11. Replace 308 Win with 6.5 Creedmoor Barrel? - AR15.COM

    www.ar15.com/forums/armory/Replace-308-Win-with-6-5-Creedmoor-Barrel-/49-477350

I am having a hard time getting this information. I have settled on a 6.5 creedmoor as my next rifle caliber. Should be perfect for both my hunts and long range shooting I enjoy. I don't necessarily like the complete rifles available (without dropping $3K for something without a scope).
