Tire Kingdom was founded by Chuck Curcio in Florida in 1972, starting with a location in a farmer's market in West Palm Beach, Florida. A school named "Poinciana Park" was located in the western half of mainland Monroe County around this time, [12] but it is unknown if this was connected to the development. The hurricane of 1926 destroyed all structures at Poinciana, and despite attempts to rebuild and continued newspaper advertising, the project was subsequently abandoned. [13]

[3] Since 1995, Tire Rack has been the title sponsor of the National Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Solo Program, a club that allows driving enthusiasts to compete at a local level.
