The program was created in 1987 as Panorama Dnia, during Poland's communist rule. In 1991, Panorama Dnia was changed into Panorama. In 2010, Panorama was watched by an average of 1.5 million Poles. TVP Polonia (formerly known as TV Polonia) is the international channel of the Telewizja Polska (TVP). The channel is co-funded by the TVP and the Polish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and broadcasts from the TVP headquarters in Warsaw.
