The 2015 matchup took place on neutral ground at Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, as part of the first ever Bill Walton Basketball Festival. The City Championship game was played on December 6, 2015 after a week of events including high school contests, corporate play, and physical education classes.
The team plays its home games at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Toreros won their first WCC title in 1983–84, when the conference was known as the West Coast Athletic Conference. The 2016–17 season was the first in which they won the CCAA regular-season title; they also won the CCAA Tournament and were again NCAA West Region runners-up. [ 3 ]

The team was slated to play at the San Diego Sports Arena, but a feud between Bloom and Peter Graham, operator and lease-holder of the city-owned 14,400-seat arena, led Graham to lock the newborn team out of the facility for two years.
