Oshkosh (/ ˈ ɒ ʃ k ɒ ʃ / ⓘ) is a city in and the county seat of Winnebago County, Wisconsin, United States, located on the western shore of Lake Winnebago. It had a population of 66,816 as of the 2020 census, making it the ninth-most populous city in Wisconsin. [4] It is also adjacent to the much less populous Town of Oshkosh in the north.
He donated the $7,500 and hired Flour Brothers Construction Company of nearby Oshkosh for the construction of a 40-foot (12 m), brick and Haydite block lighthouse. The lighthouse began guiding boaters into the Neenah Harbor in 1945. It was later raised to 49 feet (15 m) in 1954.
