Ochtertyre / ˌ ɒ x t ər ˈ t aɪər / is a country house and estate in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is located in Strathearn , between Crieff and Loch Turret , north of the A85 . History
There was previously rugby at Crieff. At the end of the 19th century there was a club known as St. Michael's Guild Rugby Club from around 1889 which then became Crieff rugby club. [1] This side went defunct but there was another attempt to create a Crieff rugby club, based around ex-players of the Crieff Academy around 1896. [1]
Crieff Parish Church. Crieff Parish Church (Church of Scotland) in Strathearn Terrace, also known as the East Church, is on the site of a medieval building that was demolished and rebuilt in 1786, when a hoard of gold coins from the reign of Robert the Bruce was found within its walls. The church was again rebuilt in 1827.
The railways of Strathearn in 1904. In 1863 Colonel Williamson, proprietor of the Lawers estate, became involved in promoting a railway from Comrie. He published a pamphlet proposing a railway connecting Comrie and Crieff, and within a month £22,000 had been subscribed locally for the line.

Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (Arthur William Patrick Albert; 1 May 1850 – 16 January 1942) was the seventh child and third son of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He served as Governor General of Canada, the tenth since Canadian Confederation and the only British prince to do so.
