CPS Technologies Corporation Announces Navy SBIR Phase II Award 06/25/2024 20:01 -0400 NORTON, Mass., June 25, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CPS Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ:CPSH) (“CPS” or the “Company”) today announced that it has been awarded a Phase II SBIR contract from the U.S. Navy Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
Approximately $2.5 billion is awarded through this program each year. The United States Department of Defense (DoD) is the largest agency in this program with approximately $1 billion in SBIR grants annually. Over half the awards from the DoD are to firms with fewer than 25 people and a third to firms of fewer than 10.
The research effort will be six months in duration and is valued at $250,000. This award also represents the first funded proposal for Mechanical Engineer Marinos Blanas, who is now the fourth CPS researcher to garner SBIR funding in the last several years. The Company also finalized a revised supply agreement with a longstanding customer.
