Deep Forest is a French music project that originally began as a duo consisting of Michel Sanchez and Éric Mouquet. [2] They compose a style of world music, sometimes called ethnic electronica, mixing ethnic with electronic sounds and dance beats or chillout beats.
Innovatively fusing traditional ethnic musics with state-of-the-art rhythms, the work of Deep Forest was best typified by their 1993 smash "Sweet Lullaby," which brought together the contemporary sounds of ambient techno with the haunting voices of the Pygmies of the central African rain forest.

Made in Japan is a live album by French group Deep Forest, released in 1999. [2] The recording took place on 9 September 1998, during Deep Forest's tour in Japan, with nine musicians joining the group on the stage. The band placed an emphasis on improvisation and playing the songs differently from the recordings.
In 1982 the band changed its name to Night Ranger after a country band, the Rangers, claimed a trademark infringement. [8] By this point, they had recorded their debut album Dawn Patrol for Boardwalk Records and done opening stints for ZZ Top and Ozzy Osbourne; the latter had employed Brad Gillis as a replacement guitarist for the recently deceased Randy Rhoads, in the spring and summer of 1982.
