As a further insult to injury, as other mentioned, the quality appears to have gone down on what little pizza they even do give you. TL,DR; Shrinkflation at its worst, laughably bad even. Digiorno pizza's are 1/3 smaller, even more expensive, actual product appears to be of lower quality.
Digiorno pizza. The shrink is real... Forget about size. The most disappointing change to "premium" frozen pizzas in the US has been the cheapening of ingredients. Top of the line, $12+ frozen pizzas now use garbage pepperoni-in-name-only rather than the real stuff.
DiGiorno Pizza Sucks. Nobody is confusing this pizza with delivery, not even from the lowliest of franchises. Even worse, this pizza is not good no matter your pricepoint. If you're on a budget, the $1 (in olden days they were like 5 for $5) Totinos pizzas are wayy better. The crust is too thick, and soft (no crunch to it) and the whole pizza ...
the new (ish) Croissant Crust Digiorno pizza is the greatest oven pizza to ever exist. this thing is routinely on sale for $5 at my grocer. it's SO fucking good, i don't even want to order pizza bc the price difference is too high compared to the quality difference. i won't buy any other frozen pizzas. the crust comes out perfect even if you ...
I get the Red Baron brick oven cheese-trio pizzas (so I can add my own toppings). Red Baron nutrition information on the Walmart website shows 146g x 4 servings = 584g for the pepperoni pizza. The one I just cooked, the back of the box says 149g x 3 servings = 447g. Or about a 25% decrease in size.
Digiorno pizza is really the best frozen pizza. It’s nearly 8:30am. I’ll be honest, first thing I did this morning after waking up was pop an edible. My wife’s still asleep and she’s the one who normally makes breakfast, but I’m not gonna bother her just because I’m hungry. Gave my daughter her food before the edible kicked in and ...
Usually a Pizza Crime harms all the involved, especially the criminal theirself. Sometimes you get a PizzaHeist, and while crimes punishable are committed, but when the dough is all counted then it's time to cash in. Look like DiGiorno had a dream. Gio Gio.
Digiorno frozen pizzas are next in line to shrink. All Digiorno frozen pizzas are decreasing in size anywhere from 2-4 ounces. Notice how they are currently on sale. They're clearing out the current stock to make way for the new smaller product. Stock up while you can. Or not. I'm not stocking up on a product by a company that would this.
I typically trhaw the pizza out on the counter for about 30 minutes prior to cooking..set it on a sheet tray with parchment and pop in a super hot oven (about 450-500F)..and then after 10-12 minutes I turn the oven off and let the residual heat cook it the rest of the way. 3.
DiGiorno is a fancy brand of frozen pizza that claims to be worth the extra price. I think they're decent, not quite as good as delivery, but better than the usual discount frozen pizza that indeed, tastes like cardboard. DiGiornos is bad in a different way than most other frozen pizzas. Rather than being mediocre sauce and shit cheese on ...
