Re: Mismatch security key Thanks for reply Storm 2003 I attempted several times to do as you suggested both with the mywifiext.net and the 192.168.0.250 but each time I got 'web page unavailable' when trying to connect to the extender's GUI (I am using the Ex6100 in extender mode!)
The network security key was different on my extender than my router, so using the firmware allowed me to go through the setup and change it to my router security key. View solution in original post Message 7 of 7
Re: My WiFi range extender asks for a security key If you pressed the WPS button on the extender during setup, then the WiFi password should be the same as your router's. Message 2 of 2
Hello, I believe I have the extender logged in (connected to?) the wireless router. When I go to log onto the "extender network," it asks me for my Network Security Key. How would I go about finding that information? Thank you for your help.
No special characters being used, mix of letters and numbers. 28 other devices/computers can connect normally. extender wn3000rp password incorrect security key or password when trying to connect I have used extender previously with other modems and works fine. Setting new modem via WPS it seems it accepts it but its not accepting the new modems password.

However, when I try to type in the security key for the homehub_EXT network it keeps telling me there is a security key mismatch and I don't understand why.

Re: Reset security questions The recovery questions are there if you've forgotten the password. Problem is, if you didn't set them up (or don't know them) they still ask the questions but there isn't a correct answer.
This is because the “Num Lock” key was on. As soon as I discovered that, the security key was accepted. I had the security key written down, but because of the “Num Lock” button, it wasn’t working and I was beginning to wonder if the security key was something other than what I had written down. All working fine now. Dunce cap on.
