Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) is a school division in Virginia with its headquarters in the Kelly Leadership Center located in the unincorporated community of Independent Hill in Prince William County, Virginia. [1] As of the 2020 census, the population of the county was 486,943. [7]
The school is named after Philip Michael Pennington, a Prince William County police officer who was killed in the line of duty in 1990. [2] In September 2000, Pennington became the first traditional school of Prince William County. Since then, only two more (Porter Traditional School and the Nokesville School) have been constructed.
