Antelope Mine, now known as Maphisa, is a town in the Matobo district of the province of Matabeleland South, Zimbabwe. On 14 June 2024, the government of Zimbabwe granted Maphisa the town status. [1] Maphisa is located about 114 km south of Bulawayo and 14 km south of Kezi. [2]

Lobengula established a state that held sovereignty over the region between the Limpopo and Zambezi rivers to the north and south and between the desert of the Makgadikgadi salt pans to the west and the Save River to the east.
