The Woodwright's Shop. The Woodwright's Shop was an American traditional woodworking show hosted by master carpenter Roy Underhill and airing on television network PBS. It is one of the longest running how-to shows on PBS, with thirty-five 13-episode seasons produced. Since its debut in 1979, the show has aired over 400 episodes.
Roy Underhill (born December 22, 1950) [1] is an American woodworker and television show host. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., he was the first master housewright at the Colonial Williamsburg reconstruction. Since 1979, he has been the host of the PBS series The Woodwright's Shop.
Parent (s) Daniel and Anne (Schrock) Sauder [1] Erie J. Sauder (August 6, 1904 – June 29, 1997) was an American inventor and furniture-maker. He invented a knock-down table in 1951 [2][3] and founded a company that produced ready-to-assemble furniture—one of the largest in the United States at the time of his death. [4]
