Lobos 1707 is a Mexican tequila and mezcal company. The tequila was founded by Diego Osorio in 2020. The company produces many different kinds of tequila . Some names of these beverages include Lobos 1707 Tequila, Extra Añejo, Reposado, Joven and Lobos 1707 Mezcal Artesanal. [1] The Spanish word for "wolf" was used to name Lobos 1707.

The title is wrong, it's "Essay" not "Treatise" ("Essai politique sur le royaume de la Nouvelle-Espagne" in the original French). I have checked both the second French edition of 1827 and the Kutzinski and Ette translation and neither one mentions mezcal unless he's calling it by some other name.
