The Xingu River (/ ʃ iː ŋ ˈ ɡ uː / sheeng-GOO; Portuguese: Rio Xingu [ˈʁi.u ʃĩˈɡu]; Mẽbêngôkre: Byti [5]: 73 ) is a 1,640 km (1,020 mi) [1] river in north Brazil.
