Gonzalo Garza Independence High School is an alternative high school in the Austin Independent School District and is located at 1600 Chicon Street in Austin, Texas. [1] It opened in January 1998 under then-principal Victoria Baldwin and is open to any student entering their third year of high school with 10 or more credits.
Loop 343 begins in south Austin at the intersection of US 290/SH 71 and the southern terminus of Loop 360. It proceeds north along Lamar Boulevard for 3.5 miles (5.6 km) towards downtown Austin. Here, it crosses Lady Bird Lake on the Lamar Boulevard Bridge. This segment of Loop 343 is a four-lane heavily developed urban road.
The entire length of Loop 360 is 13.8 miles (22.2 km). An extension of 0.7 miles (1.1 km) to connect the northern end of Loop 360 with Loop 1 was once considered part of the Loop, but has since been removed from the state highway system. The segment of Loop 360 south of US 183 is designated a scenic roadway by the City of Austin. [2]
As currently configured, Loop 275 consists of two non-connected segments. The 6.0-mile (9.7 km) northern segment starts at an interchange with US 183 , just west of Interstate 35. It proceeds north along Lamar Boulevard, passing FM 734 , before terminating at the southbound frontage road of Interstate 35, just south of Howard Lane (Exit 246).
