The current Otis College main campus (since spring 1997) is located in the Westchester area of Los Angeles, close to the Los Angeles International Airport. The main building (built in 1963) was designed by architect Eliot Noyes for IBM, and is famous for its computer " punched card " style windows. [ 4 ]
Before Otis, she taught and or has been in administration at Northeastern University, Minneapolis College of Art and Design and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Jaramillo was raised in Los Angeles, California, where she attended the Manual Arts High School before attending the Otis Art Institute (now called Otis College of Art and Design) in 1958. [4] She moved her family to New York City after the 1965 Watts riots .
At 15 she left high school to attend the Otis Art Institute (now called the Otis College of Art and Design). She also studied in Los Angeles at Chouinard Art Institute. In 1933 she went to New York City to study at The Art Students League of New York with George Grosz, Richard Lahey, and John Sloan.
From 1947 to 1954, he taught at Santa Barbara College (now called University of California, Santa Barbara). [ 2 ] [ 6 ] From 1955 until 1977, Fenci was the head of the sculpture department at Otis Art Institute (now named Otis College of Art and Design ).
