In March 2023, the airport was recognized by the Airports Council International as one of the best airports in the world, marking the second consecutive year the airport received this recognition. It was one of only 10 airports of any size in the U.S. to earn a 2022 ASQ "Best Airport" award. [18]
Green Bay–Austin Straubel International Airport (IATA: GRB, ICAO: KGRB, FAA LID: GRB) is a county-owned public-use airport in Brown County, Wisconsin, United States, which serves Northeastern Wisconsin. [1] It is the fourth busiest of eight commercial service airports in Wisconsin in terms of passengers served.
Along with Madison’s Dane County Regional Airport, it is one of two airports in the State of Wisconsin categorized as a small hub. [5] [6] The airport covers 1,638 acres (6.63 km 2) at an elevation of 918 feet (280 m) above sea level. [2] [7] It is the third busiest of eight commercial airports in Wisconsin in terms of passengers served. [3]
Central Wisconsin Airport covers an area of 1,852 acres (749 ha) at an elevation of 1,277 feet (389 m) above mean sea level. It contains two concrete paved runways : 8/26 measuring 7,723 x 150 ft (2,354 x 46 m) and 17/35 measuring 6,501 x 150 ft (1,982 x 46 m). [ 1 ]
Tomahawk Regional Airport covers an area of 280 acres (113 ha) at an elevation of 1,487 feet (453 m) above mean sea level.It has one runway designated 9/27 with an asphalt surface measuring 4,401 by 75 feet (1,341 x 23 m) with approved GPS approaches.
The airport covers 710 acres (287 ha) at an elevation of 651 feet (198 m).It has two asphalt runways: the primary runway 17/35 is 5,001 by 100 feet (1,524 x 30 m) and the crosswind runway 7/25 is 3,341 by 100 feet (1,018 x 30 m).
