Fats Domino (born February 26, 1928, New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.—died October 24, 2017, Harvey, Louisiana) was an American singer and pianist, a rhythm-and-blues star who became one of the first rock-and-roll stars and who helped define the New Orleans sound.
Fats Domino was signed to the Imperial Records label in 1949 and left it in early 1963, when the label was sold to Liberty Records. However, dozens of his recordings for Imperial have been overdubbed with female vocal chorus from May to July 1963 and next released by Liberty.
