Since the first telethon, over US$286 million has been raised, and 14 rehabilitation centers have been built in the cities of Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Calama, Copiapó, Coquimbo, Valparaíso, Santiago, Talca, Concepción, Temuco, Valdivia, Puerto Montt and Coyhaique.

Its first telethon was broadcast December 14 and 15, 2012 on the Univision network, and was hosted by famed Univision personality Don Francisco, who has hosted the telethon in Chile (Which was the inspiration for telethon). The first edition of TeletónUSA took US$8,150,625 in pledges, exceeding its initial goal of US$7 million. [9]

Chile ayuda a Chile (Chile helps Chile [1]) was a charity telethon being held from March 5 to March 6, 2010. The event was broadcast from Teatro Teletón in Santiago, Chile. [2] The telethon's aim was to raise money to help those affected by the 2010 Chile earthquake that struck the central-southern Chile on 27 February of that year. [3]
