The Tabernacle [2] [3] is a mid-size concert hall located in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Opening in 1911 as a church , the building was converted into a music venue in 1996. It is owned and managed by concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment and has a capacity of 2,600 people.
The December 29, 2010, show opened and closed with a cover of the Grateful Dead's "Shakedown Street". For New Year's 2011, STS9 returned to the Tabernacle in Atlanta. They performed a five-night run starting on December 27. STS9 has continued to perform in Atlanta and Denver for New Year's since 2011.

The 53,000 square feet (4,900 m 2) theater consists of two tiers. The floor area is flat, unlike similar venues, such as the Tabernacle, that slope upward. Upstairs is a permanent seating area that consists of 800 seats. There are four public bars in the venue, with a fifth located in the VIP room. [3]
