Michael Powell (born October 29, 1982) is an American former professional lacrosse player who was a four-time First Team All-American at Syracuse University, played professional lacrosse for the Baltimore Bayhawks and Boston Cannons, and played on the United States team in the 2002 and 2006 World Lacrosse Championships where he was named to the All-World Team.
Powell is the only player in NCAA Division I lacrosse history to earn first-team All-American honors at more than one position. He is the middle brother of three lacrosse-playing brothers, younger than Casey but older than Michael. [1] [2] He attended Carthage Senior High School where he was the quarterback for the football team and played on the lacrosse team. Team USA finished second in the other three field lacrosse tournaments, losing to Canada in 1978, 2006, and 2014. The team is organized by US Lacrosse, the national governing body.
