Sima was born in Hong Kong on 15 March 1963. [3] In 1996, she married Togi Gouw (Chinese: 吳忠義), a Dutch businessman of Chinese Indonesian descent. [4] [5] They had two sons, Ian Gouw and Brian Gouw. The former became an actor. [6] In 2012, Sima was diagnosed with stomach cancer. She died on 10 January 2015 at the age of 51. [1] [2]
