The song went to number one on the U.S. Country chart and held that position for the chart weeks of December 3 and December 10, 2005.
It spawned two No. 1 singles in "Come a Little Closer" [10] and "Settle for a Slowdown", [10] as well as the No. 3 hit "Lot of Leavin' Left to Do". [10] The album was also certified Platinum.
