A number of animals were moved to other zoos during the construction of the theme park. In 1990 the polar bears left the park, as did the hippos and elephants in 1993. In 1994 the snow leopards were relocated to the lion and tiger area. [16] For a time the attraction was called Animal Land, before returning to Chessington Zoo in 2007. [16]
