"Adventures of Space Oz") is an anime television series produced by Enoki Films and EZ Films that aired on TV Tokyo from October 5, 1992, to April 5, 1993. The series is a futuristic reimagining of L. Frank Baum's 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. [1]

In his Oz books, Baum created the illusion that characters such as Dorothy and Princess Ozma relayed their adventures in Oz to Baum themselves, by means of a wireless telegraph. After Baum's death in 1919, publisher Reilly & Lee continued to produce annual Oz books, passing on the role of Royal Historian.
It was then serialized in Hobby Japan's RPG Magazine under the title Jikū Kitan OZ (時空奇譚OZ, Jikū Kitan OZ, trans. OZ: Tales of Time and Space) from issues 1-6 in 1990.
