Speed Skating Canada (SSC) is the governing body for competitive long track and short track speed skating in Canada. It was founded in 1887, [ 1 ] [ 2 ] five years before the International Skating Union [ 6 ] of which SSC later became a member in 1894.
Ted-Jan Bloemen (born 16 August 1986) is a Dutch-Canadian long track speed skater. He started competing for the Canadian national speed skating team during the 2014–15 season, but before that, he competed for the Netherlands in international competitions. Bloemen primarily competes in long-distance events as well as team pursuit events.
