Mar 22, 2014. #14. Maybe a little too early for Watermans, but The Howie Carr Show on WRKO is terminal, with about 6 months to live. The same thing that has killed off almost every "music of your life" and "golden oldies" format, and even most "oldies" formats is killing talk radio, especially in Boston.
Feb 1, 2016. #1. Someone called Howie Carr's show and asked what happened to "Sandy". Carr said " she got another job". Yeah, Nancy Shack has her own talk show on WMEX1510, the " Sandy Shack Show" M-F 12pm-3pm. So much for all the support Sandy gave you for many years. F.

Noticed via Wikipedia that Howard Louis Carr Sr. died at the age of 103 on October 1 of this year. I can't remember if Howie mentioned it on air, though he may have taken a trip shortly after this to N.C. for the funeral (Columbus Day weekend)...
