Bataan (/ b ɑː t ɑː ˈ ʔ ɑː n /, / b ɑː ˈ t ɑː n /, IPA: [bɐtɐˈʔan]), officially the Province of Bataan (Filipino: Lalawigan ng Bataan, Kapampangan: Lalawigan ning Bataan), is a province in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. Its capital is the city of Balanga while Mariveles is the largest town in the province.
The Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) was established on January 14, 1998, at Kamaya Point, Alas-asin, Mariveles, Bataan, in an 18-hectare (44-acre) land.It was founded by Capt.
