Note that there are no natural features above 1,000 feet (305 m) in the city of San Francisco. Unless otherwise referenced, all data are from the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS). GNIS elevations are imprecise.
The "Hills" chapter of Gladys Hansen's San Francisco Almanac [4] repeated the list given in Hills of San Francisco and added the then-recently-named Cathedral Hill for a total of 43, but the "Places" chapter [5] listed many additional hills.
