  2. Dishwasher under a sink- is it possible? - MoneySavingExpert...

    forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2170543/dishwasher-under-a-sink-is-it...

Under the drainer part of the sink is fairly usual ..but not under the sink itself (sink and waste trap/pipe protrude too far into cupboard below). As your in the stages of planning your kitchen i'd be looking at it as a blank canvas and trying to get a full 600mm width dishwasher in. May mean relocating plumbing or moving the sink along ...

9 October 2006 at 9:36AM. I know water & electicity don't mix so I'm a little concerned about the kitchen company putting a double socket under the kitchen sink for plugging in my dishwasher and plinth heater. The kitchen company have said it's perfectly safe. Can anyone put my mind at rest or point me in the right direction of who to contact next?

  4. Under sink waste trap... Countertop dishwasher

    forums.moneysavingexpert.com/.../under-sink-waste-trap-countertop-dishwasher

The dishwasher is a pumped drain I have used it for the past 5 years and it pumps away. Its a very good dishwasher by Bosch hence me not wanting to have to get rid of it and install a full size one as there are only 2 people living at the property.

Just been having a similar dishwasher debate in our own kitchen. Basically, my need is for a dishwasher and a washer/dryer and it has been a bit tricky. In order to fit both in I needed to put the dishwasher under our hob, and the washing machine under the sink drainer (limited outside wall capacity).

electric socket under sink. jackieb Posts: 27,605 Forumite. 2 September 2008 at 9:54PM. I'm getting a new kitchen fitted this week - they started fitting it today. My washing machine is next to the sink. There was already a double socket behind the washer. I assumed that they'd change that to a single socket, with a switch to turn it off and on ...

11 November 2013 at 8:53PM. Irrespective of the gap it is good practise to install this foil on laminate or wood worktops above dishwasher. It needn't go to the back. Lulu58 Posts: 318 Forumite. 22 April 2020 at 12:20PM. Can anyone tell me what the pros and cons are of a bottle trap vs a normal sink waste for a full size kitchen sink, both with a dishwasher/washing machine connection? We are considering installing a bottle trap with a connector under our kitchen sink, but we've only ever seen them below ...

20 August 2014 at 3:31PM. Hi, the waste water from the washing machine is coming up through the sink!. This doesn't happen with the dishwasher (also linked to the waste under the sink). We have done two lots of heavy duty pipe cleaner. Ordinary water from sink runs away fine. Any diy advice please.

  10. Position the dishwasher away from the sink? - MoneySavingExpert...

    forums.moneysavingexpert.com/.../position-the-dishwasher-away-from-the-sink

The distance would be approx 3.5 meters. In other words, a 7 meter round trip back and forth to unload glasses/dishes and place them in their cupboard. Not ideal I know, but I'm really struggling to find a spot for the dishwasher next to the sink in my layout. Finding one means a compromise in general size/use of space which I don't like.

  11. Membrane between dishwasher and worktop - MoneySavingExpert Forum

    forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5662167/membrane-between-dishwasher...

If you have a laminate or wooden worktop a membrane/aluminium sticking foil/2 coats of oil based varnish are imperative on the underside of the worktop where the door opens. Its to stop steam and water splashes penetrating the unprotected part of the worktop. If you have granite, quartz or Corian, you wont need it.
