Southaven is a city in DeSoto County, Mississippi, United States. It is a principal city in Greater Memphis . The 2020 census reported a population of 54,648, [ 5 ] making it the 3rd most populous city in Mississippi and the largest suburb of Memphis by population.
DeSoto Central High School opened in August 1999 as a Kindergarten-6th grade campus in the current DeSoto Central Middle School Building to relieve crowding at Southaven High School and Olive Branch High School.
