The Party (French: Le Party) is a Canadian drama film, directed by Pierre Falardeau and released in 1990. [2] Loosely based on the prison experiences of convicted Front de libération du Québec terrorist Francis Simard, the film centres on the annual party at the St. Vincent de Paul penitentiary in Laval, Quebec, [3] where a group of prison inmates get to enjoy outside entertainment.
François Perrin (Pierre Richard), a photographer desirous to get into filming, wrote with his friend Henri, a script titled Le miroir de l'âme.Having not found any producer, François transmits the script to a producer of pornographic films, Bob Morlock (Jean-Pierre Marielle), who retitles the project into La vaginale.
The two fight, Emery stops, leaving Brandon alive. After Emery is sentenced and sent to prison, Connie visits him and presents him with divorce papers, forcing him to sign them. Reluctantly, he does. Connie then gets up and walks away as Emery screams for her to come back. As Emery is being led back to his cell, he sees Connie walks to Brandon.

All three scenes are set in the sitting room of Guy's London apartment: during Guy's flatwarming party (Scene 1); after Reg's funeral, some years later (Scene 2); and after Guy's funeral (Scene 3).
