The new US 63 entered Iowa near Bloomfield and traveled north through Ottumwa to Oskaloosa. There it turned to the northwest to go through Pella, Monroe, and Prairie City. The national northern end of the highway was at the corner of Grand Avenue and E. 14th Street near the Iowa State Capitol where US 32 and US 65 split. [23]
