Lewisville Lake is the second lake to impound the waters of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River in this area. The W.E. Callahan Construction Company completed the Garza Dam in 1927 at a cost of $5 million, which created Lake Dallas. The dam was 10,890 feet (3,320 m) long with a 567-foot (173 m) long service spillway.
The neighborhood contains around 1,700 homes, [3] and is located inside the triangle formed by Lake Highlands Drive, Northwest Highway, and White Rock Lake. The area includes many parks along the creeks that feed into White Rock Lake including Norbuck Park at the southeast corner of Buckner and Northwest Highway.
Lake Huron is the second largest of the Great Lakes (after Lake Superior) with a surface area of 23,010 square miles (59,600 km 2). Michigan is the only state to border Lake Huron, while the portion of the lake on the other side of the international border belongs to the province of Ontario.
White Rock Lake is a reservoir located in northeast Dallas, Texas, United States. The lake was formed by damming White Rock Creek, which today widens into the lake before continuing south out of the spillway and emptying into the Trinity River.
