Texas Review Press is a university press affiliated with Sam Houston State University, located in Huntsville, Texas. The press, which was founded in 1979, publishes the Texas Review (a periodical specializing in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction), as well as various scholarly books and monographs.
Poet Susan Bright and Chuck Taylor founded Slough Press in 1973 in Austin, Texas, and moved to El Paso briefly before returning to Austin. Bright left the press at this time and later founded Plain View Press. As of 2017, Slough Press was operating out of Austin with new publisher Christopher Carmona. [1]
