There is a secret ending to Pathfinder:Kingmaker, and it is not at all easy to unlock. Many choices from the beginning of the game up until the final moments will feed into this quest. You will have to lean over the precipice of despair to earn your happy ending!
I play this game again, and although I quite like it, I have to say some of its mechanics are quite bad. specifically romance mechanics. They tried to create something new and interesting, but what they came up with is random, annoying, and terribly paced. it's a shame, since the writing of the romance is quite good, and the gameplay is getting in the way...
Since there's no guides out for this sorta things, I did a bunch of trial and errors. And this will start up Valerie's relationship Prologue* choose to help save the guards in the fire and pass the athletics check, should be easy enough but save before running into the fire, and reload if you fail. Chapter 1: when talking to her for the first time, you'll have the option to mention her beauty ...
What's hilarious to me is that I seem to have accidentally ended up with romance things going on with both Tristian and Valerie despite Valerie insisting she's straight. Unless the scene with helping her with her buckle just always happens if you're friendly enough. So you can romance Valerie as a girl even if its actually shouldnt happen?
In Pathfinder, undead are literally incapable of any kind of emotion that'd count as 'romance'. That also makes it impossible for them to change alignment. So there's no canon way that she'd be romanceable. Unless, eh, she's restored to life somehow.
For those of you who have played through once or more, what did you feel like was the best romance path? Especially now that the new DLC is out? I'm personally trying to decide what to do right now - I have a chaotic good Sorcerer playthrough at Chapter 3 where I am set up to pursue the Nyrissa romance, but I am also tempted to restart as an evil Thassilonian wizard or something similar and ...

So I've been romancing Regongar all game. Both he and Octavia survived the House at the Edge of Time, then I decided to finish the game by letting Nyrissa go (rather than proceed to Chapter 7). My ending didn't mention our romance at all, though. Another note: I think I got a repeat of the event where Regongar cuts himself. If I progressed to Chapter 7, would I get more options to finish the ...
So right now I am a bit unsure as to how do I proceed further. I am currently in Act 2. Her counter is currently sitting at 59 out of 59. The romance is still active. This is what I have done: 1. Told her I noticed her beauty, but won't stalk her 2. The buckle scene 3. Had her beat the Paladin in a fair duel and then spare him 4. 1st Tavern scene 5. 1st camp scene (talking about the guy from ...
