I've tried chaning the qualty from indistuisiable to high quality. changing the encoder from HEVC to software x264 and regular x264. Not running admin to running in admin. I've changed the downscale filter. Im at a loss.

Basically, you need both 'Sources' (web cam and screen capture), then you need to read/understand how to manipulate Source placement and sizing within the Preview/Canvas (understand difference between re-sizing and cropping (using ALT key)).
It is failsafe, i.e. an unfinished recording due to power loss or other causes will remain playbale and recoverable.
