Little League Baseball and Softball (officially, Little League Baseball Inc [1]) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization [2] [3] based in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, United States, that organizes local youth baseball and softball leagues throughout the United States and the rest of the world.
Wilmette saw a growth in youth sports during this period. The boy's youth Wilmette Baseball Association was founded in 1951. [6] In 1953 the village opened Roemer Park, a Little League baseball park with features such as a concession stand and scoreboard. [6]

He was the fourth of five children of Lulu Fisk Stotz the third child of a German immigrant (1862) named Kristjian and married first generation German-American Juliana Eddinger, in 1877 in Williamsport.
The 2020 Little League World Series was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic; The 2021 Little League World Series only featured United States teams for the first time since 1975. Two teams from each of the 8 U.S. regions participated in the World Series (regional champion and runner-up)
River Forest hosted the 2016 Little League Baseball Illinois State Tournament at Keystone Park. 2019 Little League Illinois State Baseball Champions [ 16 ] For 18 years, the neighborhood has hosted a yearly 9/11 Lemon-Aid stand on the 700 block of Bonnie Brae which donates all proceeds to local charities.
The tournament was played at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, which was founded in 1927. The Ruffled Feathers Golf Club is located in Lemont. In 2008, the girls' 11-year-old Lemont Little League All-Star team traveled to Beardstown, Illinois, for the state tournament and won the state title.
