Of course, LG unveiled a gorgeous 4K OLED W series at the show, and Samsung said they would revolutionize the TV experience with their new QLED TV series. Samsung, naturally, says that QLED TV’s will deliver the best picture quality ever, marking a shift in the TV industry. However, LG is not that impressed.

I have an older LG OLED 4K 55" TV -- the last of the 3D units with a curved screen. The picture quality was simply breathtaking. The TV was ruined within a year by burn-in -- basically by my returning so often to the YouTube app to watch videos and movies.
Let me preface this by saying I’m a hardware dummy. I don’t know the difference between LED, OLED, QLED or whatever. Looking for a 65” TV to replace our aging 55” Samsung in the living room. 4K is a must as we plan to get a PS5 (as soon as we can find one) and some 4K discs. This TV gets a LOT...
Over time I noticed Pixelization issues. I thought maybe some of it had to do with lousy source material over an interlaced cable box signal. I’m also looking at the Samsung Neo Qled tvs. Sonys are pricey but LG might be an option. When I bought my first flat screen tv, it was a Panasonic plasma. Beautiful tv. Then I bought an ...
THE SCRATCH IS GONE! At least enough not to be noticeable on a white screen from the sofa. I just applied a bit of Vaseline with a Q-tip and rubbed, and it worked like magic.
This TV is the best way outside of projection to view 3D content - the 4K screen allows full 1080 resolution for each eye, and the OLED quality is outstanding. I had several DLP projection sets and this one was far and away the best for 3D and the best TV I’ve ever owned.
Colors are much more vibrant, and those multiple warnings of strobing and flashing effects on the packaging should be considered by any viewer diagnosed with epilepsy, especially if being viewed on a well-calibrated HDR-capable display with excellent contrast ratios and local dimming (such as an OLED or QLED display).
So I will be choosing whether to stay at HD projector or doing the upgrade accepting the size vs HDR tradeoffs for the media room. I wish for tileable micro-LED displays to give the best of all worlds: projector size with OLED quality and breaks down to easily convey into any space.
